Origin Story
It was watching my daughter play soccer while my ex coached her that drove me to pick up the camera. I needed something to cover my mouth and keep my hands busy. Then, as soccer evolved into horseback riding, and that in turn became horse showing, the camera remained. It was my security blanket, and it kept me from being quite so anxious. I started by shooting only my daughter, but that quickly progressed to include her friends and then her team. By 2022, I was being asked by others to take their photos. So by the time 2023 rolled around, with my daughter's encouragement, CJ's snapshots were born.

My mission is to make professional photos accessible to everyone. I pride myself on finding ways to keep my costs low while maintaining high quality. I adore the horses, and I love watching my daughter and others compete. I'm passionate and in love with photography, and so if this passion can help a young rider feel a little more accomplished, a little cooler, a little more in the spotlight, even when they think they'll never be able to afford to make it in this sport, that means the world to me.

While I specialize in equine and horse show photography, thanks to my daughter's involvement in that world. I've also spent many years shooting, playing soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and football, thanks to my son and his friends, both on a recreational and club level.
